EVACUATION PROCEDURES
If the alarm sounds, stay calm and listen for the directions of the pastor.

Gather all of your personal items (leave the hymnals under the seat).

Identify the emergency exit by the stage that is closest to you.

The pastor will indicate which exits are to be used. If there is no fire in the lobby, the exit leading back into the lobby will be used by the handicapped row and two or three additional rows. Follow the directions of the ushers.

If one of the front exits is blocked, the pastor and ushers will direct you to the remaining exits.

Choir members should come down the stairs from the stage and exit as directed by the Choir Director.  If a choir member cannot use the stairs, he/she will be assisted out the exit at the back of the stage.

Once out of the building move quickly away from the building to make room for those behind you.

Go to gathering spot away from the building and stay there until it is certain that no one remains in the building.

Do not go to your car and do not leave in your car creating traffic problems for the emergency vehicles. If you leave, you may be thought to still be in the building, endangering the lives of firemen who will go searching for you.

Once out of the building, do not re-enter the building under any circumstances until the fire department official authorizes it.
